Day #5 December 25, 2018

Weather: Stunt run! 🙂

Minutesaverage hrtotal heartbeatsKMbeats/km

My heartbeats per kilometer were again below 1000, which might be because I tried to keep the effort light. I took it pretty easy yesterday, so wanted to stretch todays out a bit.

The run was beautiful. I lost count of the number of times I was ‘Merry Christmas!’-ed, and I’m pretty sure I heard ‘Merry Christmas Darren’ shouted from a passing SUV.

Usual frost-face

By the time I got to Somba K’e Park, I was feeling pretty cold. With the wind the way it is, I decided to cut it a bit short, and not go around the highway. The snow on the roads and sidewalks was weirdly slippery though. It’s like it was warm, but just another reason to plan more on the trails.

Daily Training Tip:

For a quick, inexpensive shoe upgrade, find some good duct tape and cover the vented toes on your shoes.
