Weather: Stunt run!

Easy run around the small loop tonight, saving up my legs for a morning run tomorrow. Felt great, I finished wanting more.

Training Tip: Train with different paced runners

Running with others is one of the best parts of running. I think running together goes a lot further back than human history. You might say it runs deep.

Other people will nearly always have different paces. It’s my suggestion that you try all of them. Try to keep up with the impossibly fast kid you know. Try to spend time doing a run/walk with beginners.

If running with the faster, you might only be able to keep up for the first minute or two, but it still feels pretty nice.

Running with slower paced runners is of course easier, but gives you a good chance to focus on form.

In the cold, it can be a bit tough to keep up your temperature. It doesn’t take very much extra activity to make the heat you need though, so I use the following: high knees, butt kicks, toe hops and at red lights, exaggerated high-knees/stretches. (the key is to make it look silly)

There have been valuable things I’ve learned while running, but most of them haven’t been alone.
